Ted Snyder represents major financial institutions and other corporate
clients in complex litigation in federal and state courts and in arbitral
forums that include the National Association of Securities Dealers and the
New York Stock Exchange. In recent federal court litigations since
joining Krebsbach & Snyder as Senior Counsel in December 2001, Mr. Snyder
has acted as lead trial counsel for a corporation and seven of its present
and former officers and directors in a civil enforcement proceeding brought
by the SEC, and has defended an investment banking firm and one of its
managing directors in a $200 million action involving claims of securities
fraud and market manipulation.
A substantial portion of Mr. Snyder's
practice is devoted to defending Wall Street brokerage firms and their
employees in NASD and NYSE arbitrations. His recent cases have
included claims related to alleged conflicts between firm analysts and
research departments, trading desk "buy-in" rules, and Rule 144 and stock
registration issues, as well as other large arbitrations involving
unsuitability, churning and a broad range of related sales practice issues.
Mr. Snyder has more than 13 years of
experience litigating complex commercial cases at large and mid-sized New
York firms, including White & Case and Coudert Brothers. He
became a member of the firm in February 2003.
